Remembering

Last Friday, July 25'th, Randy Pausch died. He was the professor who became world known by his Last Lecture posted on YouTube. I came across his Last Lecture quite by accident and was so moved by his attitude and humor despite the fact that he did not have long to live due to his pancreatic cancer. I really couldn't imagine how he dealt with his disease given that he was young (he died at 47) and had a young family. In one of his interviews, he said that he needed to make sure that his family would be alright when he was gone. If his family should come to the edge of a cliff, he was busy making the safety nets to catch them in his remaining time.

How coincidental that he died on the day I posted about the birth day of an influential person in my life. That influential person was born on the 25'th of July, and died from cancer at the age of 47 last year.

But life happens and so does death. We are all going to die someday. So, in our remaining time, however long, we can seek out our dreams and make them real or we can just idle our time until THAT day.

I am busy dreaming, thank you.
